This is a great question! Being that the free surface feature was only recently added I had not seen anyone try to simulate this sort of model yet. You should be able to simulate this model without much difficulty and make an efficiency calculation.
Just expect long runtimes when doing a free surface analysis and if you can try to keep it in 2D.
