Distributed resistance with friction factor

Hello,

I am trying to simulate the pressure drop through a long water channel in a 2D simulation and then replace it with a resistance. I have tried using the friction factor f , which i computed from the first simulation results as f = L/Dh*2*Dp/p*V^2 and then created the resistance material using the friction factor method.

Problem is that after replacing the channel with the resistance i get different pressure drop results. I also noticed that the pressure drop varies with the lenght of the resistance material surface( i get roughly double Dp for the same lenght as the initial channel). I am using no_diffu_tensor = 1 flag, as it won't run without it.

I have also tried using constant through-flow K, but still with unnsatisfying results and also noticed this varies with the lenght of the material resistance surface too.

What could be the case here?
