hello,
i am presently working on the heat transfer analysis of the HEAT RECOVERY UNIT. so i am having a very complicated geometry. can any body help me to make the volume creation of the air which is passing through the heat recovery unit.
for CFD purpose, i need the volume of air as a model for analysis.
i have the complete assembly of the heat recovery unit but now i need to subtract the the air flow path from the assembly.
please help me for modelling of the air flow path in to the heat recovery unit.
reply me if anybody can help me out... i will send my assembly to him on reply...
thank you..

It might help you to know that any hollow and sealed part brought through into CFD automatically gets filled with a part which will be your gas - no need for additional CAD work.
To seal it, add some 'caps' - cylindrical extrusions (5x dia in length) to the inlets and outlets using the ID of the tubes - these will also be fluid and you will apply the BC's to the ends of these.
Thanks,
Jon
