Can't edit design study manager after active model from solidworks

Hi,

I just build a new computer to run solidworks and simCFD.

I installed with same process that I did on my labtop, but on this new desktop, there's issues.

Once I tried to active model on SimCFD, design study manager window pops up, but I can't edit study name, can't change path, and can't select study list.

Also, once I launch it, it doens't show anything on SImCFD.

Can someone please help me how to fix this problem?

Thank you for your time.

Do you see text in the study name/path edit field but the text are all disabled or there is no text at all?

Good question Tong.

Also try running and following the prompts 'Install Path\SimCFDConfig.exe' with right click Run As Administrator to see if that helps or not.  Close down all CFD instances and SolidsWorks before running.

If you are trying to load from a network drive try moving everything to a local drive.

Either of those help?

Yes. There's text on study name, and study path.

Also, I tried running SimCFDconfig.exe as admin, but nothing changed...

This sounds like a bug. Anything special for this SW model? I suspect some temp files in previous session not cleaned up. Royce, do you think it is a good idea for users to clean appdata and programdata contents?

For Autodesk simulatino CFD2014,

I downloaded:

Autodesk_Simulation_CFD_2014_Multilingual_Win_64bit_dlm.sfx

from official website..

I am going to work this through with a support case, but in the meantime make sure you download and install SP2 for 2014.

What version of Solidworks do you use?
