Autodesk Simulation CFD 2013 calculation error

Dear sir

I'm a mechanical engeneering student and i'm now working in my final project.

I wonder if you can help me with this matter.

I've just started using CFD simulation software and my knowledge in fluid dynamics is basic.

I followed autodesk video tutorials but in the end i got an error.

If it's possible i would like to be informed about what i'm doing wrong.

Thank you

Hi

You need to model the air. Use the guide here.

Note the use of Height Of Fluid.

Also, do not suppress the moving part from the mesh. Or use a rotating region, which is probably a better approach.

Kind reagrds,

Jon

By the way, I am assuming you want to model that free surface, which means you will need CFD 2015?

Otherwise I do not think you can run a model of this type.

Thank you very much for being that fast.

Can you just predict, more or less, how long will it take the solve analysis (12h, a day...more? ) ?

I will then install 2015 version and i will try to do as you said.

Much obliegd

That depends entirely on your machine, it would not be a fast analysis though.
