Some customers are facing the problem of license crashing due to network fluctuation. Due to the license crashing they are losing the already completed iteration and have to start analysis again.
Added abilty where we can save all my completed iteration automatically without losing the data when the license is lost? This it beyond the saved intervals options. This would be the equivalent of click on the 'stop' button if the license was lost.
I'd like to see this expanded to Sim CFD 360, as well. If something were to happen with the connection to the cloud, the results that have been downloaded to the local temp directory should be saved.
In Simulation CFD 2014, the software will try to reconnect with the license server if the communication is lost. If a connection to the license server can't be re-established the simulation will stop cleanly as if hitting the stop button. Simulation CFD 2014 is now available to active subscription customers on sub center.
Sim 360 does not use a traditional license server so it operates a bit differently. If the connection to the internet is lost while the run is solving, CFD 360 is designed to keep solving and resume data download after regaining the connection. In this case, the solver continues running even though the user's machine may not have a connection or could be turned off entirely.
