Improve cut-plane/surface results for transient analysis

When I run a transient analysis, I would like to get the average temperature of a “cut plane” or a surface over time the same way I can do for a point (Points --> view plot --> save data).

However the results obtained through “Planes” or “Wall Calculator” are related only to the current time step.

So my idea was to iterate through all the time steps with a script to get the value of interest and write it in a csv file. But there is no function in the current python API that can do that.

Obviously something is missing there since it is possible neither within the application nor with a script.
