So I have a problem when using the UV Texture editor in maya, whenever I activate any transform tools all the lines in the window become thick. I've tried googling the problem but I couldn't find any solutions, does anyone know what's going on here?
I had the same annoying bug , I deleted the preferences and started again to solve it....still makes it a bit thicker but not as much as before. I wish it would stay thin even after using a transform tool.
did you check if your "display texture border is enabled?"

potentially you could be doing something that un merges your model?
Hi, was wondering if this problem was resolved because I'm having the same issue with the thick lines.
Yes, apparently you have to start with a fresh set of Preferences and you also have to leave the Manipulator Line Size at the default of 1. This bug seems to be affected by the line size somehow. Hope they fix this in the next extension.
Hi!
I found this piece of advice useful. Hope it helps you:
Window > Settings/Preferences > Preferences > Display > Manipulators
Set Line Pick size to 1
For unknown reasons it appears that this setting sometimes changes to some other value (causing these thicker lines in the UV Editor). So setting this value back to 1.0 will restore their size to the original.

Hello,
In the Preferences menu, go to Polygons (under Display). There is a UV Size option. Mine was defaulted to 4, switch it to 1 and that should do the trick.
