I'm rather new to Maya (using 2009) and I'm trying to render an image of a Space Navigator
I've attached two images of what I have currently. I'm having trouble replicating the same lighting effect that is on the photo above. On the photo there is a really nice, large reflection of the blue light, but on my model, I only get a small reflection of lights within. Currently I have blue spotlights enclosed in a sphere with white dielectric material (straight out of the mia materials). The materials they're reflected on are currently made to be very glossy, black plastic.
Any idea on what I can do to achieve the nice lighting on the product photo?
