ShapeMap problem : Texture doesn't line up with the Shape used

Hi,

 

I am testing the new ShapeMap provided with Extensions 2.

It seems that the map creates a border around the source Shape which makes it impossible to line up the shape with the projected texture.

 

Here is a scrrengrab to illustrate the problem :

 As you see, the texture is offset from the borders.

 

I attached a simple test scene to this post.

Hi Mekene!

 

Thank you for pointing this out.

You are right this is in deed inconvenient.

It is still possible to manually adjust this gap in the Map Boundary option of the ShapeMap or scale up the UV mapping, but that may not always be a solution.

 

I will inform your developers about it and we will most likely have a fix for that in Max 2017 latest.
