Rendering with AMD?

So I was looking around for this anwser for quite a while. I mainly use Cinema 4D right now and barely know anything about 3ds max. Is there any way to render with AMD cards in 3ds max? If I have to buy a plug in, which one? Thank you so much!

Yes, but not with Iray or any 3rd party renderers which depend on CUDA technology which is provided only (AFAIK) by nVidia. To use those you need an nVidia graphics card.

Max 2016 (SP1/EXT1)
Win7Pro x64 (SP1). i5-3570K @ 4.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX11.
nVidia GTX760 (2GB) (Driver 430.86).

New V-Ray RT works with some AMDs; http://forums.cgarchitect.com/72223-vray-rt-hd7950-working.html

Not used it myself, but it appears like they are working in some cases.
