GPU iray rendering works in 2014, not in 2015 (3dsmax design)

Hi all,

I've got something weird on my hands.

Using 3DsMax Design 2014 with iray works perfectly it uses the GPU as well as the CPU, so no problems there. Now going with the same file to 3DsMax Design 2015 it only uses the CPU.

I already tried:

- Updating to the Nvidia driver to newest version.

- Updating to the certified 3dsmax 2015 driver.

- Rollback to current driver = 331.65

To exclude any incorrect setting in 2015 i also removed the ENU folder in AppData and restarted.

In all above situation it worked in 2014, but not in 2015.

What to try next or anyone knows the problem?

Can you render a simple scene in 2015 using iRay?

Have you rebooted?

Alias/Wavefront Maya 3 -> Discreet 3DS Max 4 -> ...
Win7 Pro 64
EVGA Classified Super Record 2
Dual Xeon Hexa-Core, 48GB RAM
GTX 780 x 2
Corona Renderer, mental Ray

I rendered a simple scene with and without materials with the iRay engine.

No GPU is used.

See attachment for scene file.

After every update/change in driver rebooted the machine.

Thnx!

What's stated in the Render Message Window?

After right clicking on it and enabling Information and Progress Messages here it reads:

...

And in the top right corner it lists 2 CUDA devices.

It states that no CUDA devices are found, altough in the render setup (at hardware resources) it can be selected.

I'll take a look, thanks!

-edit-

Looked at it, Newest driver 241.21 (not the certified driver) was indeed causing the problem.

Thanks for the help!
