Discard material

What is d method to discard the material which is already applied to the scene with no other material in the scene. I have a scene with 50 boxes to which Chrome Standard material is already applied. How this Chrome Standard material is discarded with no any other material in the Scene.

Select your 50 boxes, and run this command in the maxscript listener...

$.material = undefined

That will remove the material from your selected objects. And if it's not applies to any other object, and not in your material editor, that will delete the material from the scene.

There is also a Utility called UVW Remove that can remove materials from selected objects.
