Some of different software-solutions offer a sub-menu in Win 7 start-menu, and usually this menu is in context with the current situation of the software. (e.g. "Start" if the software is off, "Exit" if the software is on.)
Screencast does not look for the context - it always offers "Hide" and "Exit", also if Screencast is not even started. Would be fine if this will be fixed.

Hi Peter - this is a good catch. I don't think our team even looked at this during the early days of Chronicle. I will add this to our backlog of work.

Still not fixed.
Pressing the "Hide" command while the program is not running results in a new started program in the foreground.
