Scale and Rotation Tweens mess up positioning

Hi there,

Wondering if anyone can help.  I'm pretty new at scaleform but I'm trying to do some very simple tweening mixed with actionscript.

I've got a symbol that I'm setting to alignH and alignV = "center" this works very well on different devices with different aspect ratios/resolutions.  However, the second I add a motion tween (created on the timeline) based in rotation or scaling, the positioning gets completely thrown off.  Any kind of translation seems to work properly.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Some additional information after a day of research:

- It seems that when aligning to the top left, the animation works properly.  We think this is because there are no rect calculations needed for it, while there are additional calculations for center, right and bottom.

- For some reason, the rect that Scaleform seems to be using to determine the location for the positions right, center and bottom is the bounding rect for the first two frames of the movie clip.  By adding a frame or two at the beginning of the animation, we were able to get it to work somewhat.

- However, after that, trying to get it to work in Unity gets all messed up (we are still investigating what's going on).

This seems like it would be affecting more people... has no one else encountered this?

Hi!

Unfortunately, any time you try to do timeline tweening mixed with AS tweening, you will get undesireable results. That's because timeline tweening is really just AS tweening in the back end. Typically, it is my understanding, that you'll want to do one or the other, but never both.
