Help! Big problem/bug with Flash filters

I have a RTT on a plane which works fine. When adding a simple bevel filter (or any filter) this happens:

The RTT is on the right, with nothing on the left. You can see it's constantly flickering and the flickered frames are actually appearing on the camera (left). This is extremely strange behaviour.

Does anyone else get this problem? Or do I maybe have something set up wrong?

Thanks!

(I can't seem to edit my post again)

Just wanted to add, setting the movieclip to Cache as Bitmap also creates this affect (which filters automatically set). So it seems the problem is caching movieclips to bitmaps and not the filtes themselves.

(Edit #2)

Just added a simple blur filter to the demo scene:

(Click mp4 for smoother preview)

This bug actually happens outside of the actual scene. So it looks like this is a general problem of filters (bitmap caching) in scaleform. However it's strange that none of this is ever mentioned anywhere, nor can I find it on google. I think it's safe to assume I'm not the first person to ever try putting a filter on a Movieclip in scaleform?

Really confused here.
