Weld connection how should it be understood

Hey guys. I'm working with weld connection right now and I'm wondering about why there is not two triangles to describe that there's two welding ( see attached file 1)

 

I mean shouldn't it be like this ( see attached file 2 )

And is the weld resistance for one weld or two? :S

Indeed the picture may be misleading. Fillet welds are assumed on both sides of a shear plate meaning that the dialog allows you to make such definition for double plates (which I think may be difficult to achieve in reality). 

Does anyone use one sided fillet welds for this type connection with two shear plates or shall only butt welds should be acessible in such situation?
