using compatible node, rigid link and non linear hinges

Dear all,

 

Can u explain me about using compatible node, rigid link and non linear hinges? example when do we use it, and how to use? Thanks you very much

Rigid links are like extra large elements.  Non linear hinges are only to use in Pushover analysis so, unless you want to do something like that, do not bother with them.

I have never used compatible nodes either.

HI,

 

for compatible nodes please refer to: http://help.autodesk.com/view/RSAPRO/2015/ITA/?guid=GUID-774B172C-7704-4D88-8830-DBE3D05FD6C1

 

It's an option to link nodes with identical coordinates, this give you the opportunity to give them a different behaviour, the example show clearly the behaviour.
