User Defined Section

I was wondering what code to use to design user defined sections. I need this for composite beam while entering them as user defined members. Thanks in advance.

Do you mean section shape?

to use to design user defined sections. I need this for composite beam while entering them as user defined members.

I guess most similar to the way (section symbol = way of design in case of steel mamber) you would do it in reality.

(BTW: there is no code for composite design in Robot)

I think my question was misunderstood. I am inserting my members as user defined sections. when I run the calculations for the member verification according to AISC I don't get any ratios. I think Robot does not design user defined members as per AISC. I was wondering if there was another code I could use to design these members such as EN or BS.

Send me example file + your section database

My example below:

section RG 1 - SHAPE_TYPE=0

section RG 2 - SHAPE_TYPE=10

section COMP 1 - SHAPE_TYPE=10, containing parts with different steel materials
