Trapezoidal preasure load and friction loads on Silos

Good Afternoon.

Ive been modeling a cilindrical Silo. wich is supposed to have 2 different kinds of loads according to ACI 313-97:

Heres is a description of what im intending to do.

SILO LOADS.jpg

1. Blue Load: is a Frictional Load, wich goes increasing according to the Silo Depth.

2.Yellow Load: A linear Load on surface, wich increases for the Ganmma * Height like hidrostatic Load.

I tried to assign de 2nd case as a hidrostatic preassure load, with the boundaries of 8meters (top of material). for this case, i have no idea what the program is assigning, as for the 1st case, i couldnt find a load type that fits my needs.

What do you suggest?.

Dear Artur, Could you explain how to select the right A, B, C points to apply that frictional load? Thanks,

E.g.

A: on the axis of the silo with Z being the coordinate where the load 'starts' (e.g. 0,0,10)

B and C: symmetrical on 'both' sides of this axis at the point where you know the value of load (e.g. -4, 0, 0 and 4,0,0)

I have the same problem, cant find how to make tha A, B, C definition, is there any chance you could make it graphically?

Thx.

Jorge could you kindly explain how you created the junction skirt between the cylindrical part of the silo and the hopper? How did you create the hopper with the bottom closed?

Regards
