Time History (Dynamic) analysis for a moving load

Hi,

I am hoping to run a time history analysis for a simply supported steel verandeel truss bridge.

Was wondering if a time history analysis be applied to a moving load?

The effect I am trying to simulate is a pulsing load (resulting from a walking pedestrian) at a given velocity. As per guidance given in the National Annex to BS EN 1991-2, clause NA.2.44.4.

Having looked around in the software, there does not appear to be the option to apply a function to a moving load.

Many thanks,

Mak Saati

No.

Take a look at attached example of moving load defined by simple loadcases used in THA.
