Steel slederness ratio limit, Lambda, max per Eurocode

Dear All,

Does anyone know the equation for calculating Lambda, max per Eurocode?

My section fails global stability check as the section slenderness ratio about z axis,Lambda,z, is larger than Lambda, max value.

I have tried to look for the equation in the code, but I am totally unlucky.

Attached please find the calculation note printed from Robot.

The global stability check in on the last page.

As it is written, point 6.3.1.2.

Max(Lambda,y/Lambda,max ; Lambda,z/Lambda,max) - means max of calculated slendernesses is found and presented

  A max value of slenderness is defined only in EC8, 6.7.3 for members of braces (if anyone have seen a similar limitation for slenderness in EC3 it would be helpful for this issue).

You are right there is no lambda limit in EC3.

You may set it as high as you like.
