Steel profile on steel plate

Hi, thanks for reading my post. I have modelled a HEB300 column on a 60 mm thick steel plate. The HEB300 column is welded together with the steel plate. This model seems to be wrong because when the column is loaded there is almost no stresses and forces on the steel plate. What can i do to make this model to work.

Hope anybody can help. Please see my model attached.

Hi Thx alot for your reply and effort 🙂 . Is the SXX results you are getting out, the bending stress from bending around about the X-AXIS? If it is , then is that around the local axises for each element, or can i see the bending stresses around the GLOBAL a-xis. What is the principal stresses which can be shown, is the bending stresses in the global direction? please let me know if anybody have a clue.
