Steel angle

Hi

I am analysing a equal leg steel angle.

1. How do I apply the load eccentric in y direction?

2. The program gives me the following warning though I've set these settings:

Am I doing something wrong or is this just not possible in RSA?

Regards

Peder

I assume that you have to switch the model type from 2d frame to 3D frame.

As far as I know there are no provisions for checking LTB for angles in the EC3 code.

Hi Arthur,

I just encountered the same "problem" with robot's LTB checking for L sections (angle)!

Unfortunately I don't have the latest EN 1993 but I remember reading something few years ago! Please see the attached pdf and go to the "Table from NA.2.17 Clause 6.3.2.3(1)" on page 2!

Your comment would be highly appreciated!

Regards!

Robot does not check LTB for angle sections for any code.

Would it be implemented anytime soon?

Does it check LTB for hot rolled pipe sections?

Really ? There is nothing like that in any code (in Robot) for standard thick walled pipe, and rectangular pipe sections.

What about the Z purlin? RSA can check LTB in compliance with EC3. Rafal, thank you very much in advance.
