Good Morning / Evening
Has anyone experienced calculation , modeling, and reinforcement ( patern ) of this type of stairs (see attachement).
Anyhelp would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Having pb with attachement , please find below the image of the stairs. Thank you
Interesting question.
Maybe you can try by modelling each step with bar elements.
For example, create RC beam section 100x15cm and model stairs with bars only.
Try with my file (Robot 2014).
Hi!
As shown before how to model the stairs. it's the right way.i've done it in similar way for one of my project. see the attach file. just simple- create nodes/copy nodes/ use bars as intersection and then create each step as a panel.
cheers!

I think that you didn't understood the question.
We don't have to agree on everything 😉
Few times I've got questions from architects is this kind of stairs possible. I know it is possible (like serrated roof is) to make them but I've never done such stairs in my projects (I've never calculated them). Fact is that you don't have straight element in this case, so modeling it like that is, in my opinion, also wrong.
What I've learned (from others) is that it is always better to model with bar elements than with panels (when possible, of course). So, whenever I calculated simple stairs, it was allways beam (bar) with 1m width.
And, in case of multistory building, we've never model stair slabs, we've calculated model without it, and calculate stairs separatly. Seismic analysis - we exclude stair slabs from rigidnes of a structure.
We don't have to agree on everything 😉
And it is good !
We can exchange here ways with different approaches of modeling similar things.
