SINGLY or DOUBLY REINFORCED RECTANGULAR BEAMS?

Hi evevryone!

 

I am just confusing about RC design in ROBOT, is that SINGLY or DOUBLY reinforcement ?

because The ROBOT just shows the result, NOT the METHOD?

 

any idead?

If you ask if more than one layer of reinforcement can be generated then such reinforcement distribution is provided when needed. If you mean if the compression reinforcement is recognized then the answer is yes too.

So all things you said it means that

 

  1. For the REQUIRED REINFORCEMENT analysis:

 

         At first, The RSA assume that it is "Singly reinforcement"  to calculate tensile reinforcement A(st)

                            => if A(st) satisfy requirements of Criteria ===> done

                            => if NOT ==> the ROBOT will calcualte by "Doubly reinforcement"

         

  2. For the PROVIDED REINFORECEMENT analysis:

 

          The RSA assume that it is "Singly reinforcement" for ALL CERCUMSTANCES !!! and from the provided reinforcement => RSA calculate the ultimate Moment Capaciy

 

    (note : assuming the section dimensions and concrete Grading are FIXED)

 

Is my understanding RIGHT?

1. First Robot determines the value of bending moment above which the top and bottom reinforcement is needed. Depending on the actual value of the bending moment the corresponding algorithm of calculations of reinforcement is used

2. As above at first. Then based on the theoretical are of reinforcement program assumes the initial reinforcement bars distribution and runs verification of the capacity in a given cross section.Aafter that the iterative adjustment of reinforcement is done.
