Section definition calculating results problem

Hi, I am relative new to Autodesk RSA. I am trying to import my own section which I have drawn in AutoCAD and then importing it as DXF to create in Robot. For some reason when I try calculating section results it gets so far and crashes. Can someone take a look and see what they think. I do the followin steps:

  1. Import DXF
  2. Selecting openings as shown.
  3. Scale down x0.1
  4. Click results
  5. Tick 4 boxes in additional calculations section
  6. Hit calculate

I have attached the section I am trying to input. Please note openings.

Thanks

D

What about simplifying section? = reducing number of arcs?

Do you thing having "thread" on it is important?

Which robot version do you use?

Standard properties + Ix is claculated for your section without any problems on 2013+SP4 + HF5

I agree that the threads are need in the section. I am using 2012 does that make a significant difference? What does the SP4 and HF5 mean?

Thanks

What does the SP4 and HF5 mean?

Service Pack 4 and HotFix 5

I assume I have to install RSA 2013 and then download and install the SP4+HF5.

Was there a SP3 etc? Does it need to be downloaded aswell or is this including in the SP4+HF5

Thanks Again.

SP4 contains older service packs (1,2,3). So install SP4 + HF5.
