Section Builder - User section - calculations of Wx

Dear Pro

Please explain for me the different in 2 image below ( Wx=0 & Wx#0)

Which section database is  the TRON section from and what is its full name?

Dear Pro

In 2 my image, I want to explain for me value of Wx difference between Image

In image above: I create Profile in rsap as section definition. Then I saved it to my database. then in ASD it have Wx=0

But in Image below: This is profile defined in ASD & Rsap, Then have Wx#0

Pl help me

The section definition module doesn't calculate value of Wx. You can use the following formulas for manual calculations from “Theory of Elasticity” - Timoshenko, Goodier - McGraw-Hill, 1951

 

TUBE (pipe)

:                  R   -    external radius,
r    -    internal radius

 

THICK profiles (r < 0.83R)

 

     

Wx

3.14 *(R^4-r^4)/2R

 

 

 

     

THIN profiles (r > 0.83R)

 

     

Wx

3.14 *(R^4-r^4)/2R
