Residual mode by API

Good morning / Good evening ;

I would like to know how to access the flag indication the use or not of a residual mode for a given seismic case by using API.

and by the way , auxilliary data ( Last calculated mode , limite frequency  , augmentation factor )

Thank you

Which seismic code do you mean?

RPS2000 ( Morocco ).

Thank you

This option is currently not available in API. I have added it to the wish list.

Ok

Thank you very much

Hello,

I have made a modal analysis for a five story reinforced concrete building based on the UBC97 code

The mass participation for X & Y directions is about 73% and the frequency is about 33 (no significant change in these results from mode number 30 to mode number 40)

I have read that for such case residual mode should be used for seismic analysis, I have tried but I did not know how to do it

Thank you for help

Hi,

It seems, this feature is not RSA for UBC 97

Okay, any idea what to do in such a case as I mentioned (mass participation 73 and frequency 33)

The remaing masses may be located in very stiff portion of the structure.
Can you post your strcture or model.

Hi @faisal.aaouatif

You should use the spectral analysis you can define there the spectrum as per UBC then include residual mode.
