Hi
This is a follow up to the following link:
http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Robot-Structural/Local-coordinate-system/td-p/3631160
Hopefully, this is not a too dumb question.
I understand how the local system made, but I am having some problem orienting my main view after this local system so I can easily work in 3D using section planes etc.
Is it also possible to change the coordinates so they are relative to the local system?
Thanks for all help.
Kind regards
peder

There is no option for changing the coordinate system from the global to a local and use the later for further work. For the model as yours I would seriously consider the option of rotating it so that the main direction of the structure correspond to the axes of the global coordinate system. This would make the definition of the model a lot easier (rotations of vertical or inclined columns, definition of loads, directions of reactions etc.).
Thanks for your quick response:-)
I will rotate as you suggested. Thanks
