RC slab design

Dear all members,

 

Everytime i calculate provided reinforcement for rc slab, i notice that robot will provide steel bar both bottom and top even though we no need to put steel bar at top level of middle span. But if we do not put top steel bar in middle span, robot will give us and error message after calculation, so could any one give me any inder about this.
