Provided reinforcement - DEFLECTION VERIFICATION

Dear all,

In order to evaluate the deflection verification there are two methods (elastic and non linear):

I have a simple slab composed by a single panel where there a void near to the edge.

When I do the deflection verification, the two methods give very different solutions! (elastic Max deflection 20 mm, non linear Max deflection 9 mm).

I'll take the worst solution and modify the structure, but:

I would know if someone can explain me this difference;

if somene is confident with this verification

if someone has real experience on the behavior of this verification.

Thanks a lot Arthur,

but, can you explain me where can we found these document that you attached on your answer? It does not look like the robot guide
