I am also having this issue . On any dialog window the "help" button on bottom right is useless. It looks like it will open the page(hourglass spins)  but nothing happens.

Menu Help/Robot Help does not work either.

Only thing that worked is Help/WWW pages/documentation , then it opens a page where a "online help 2016" link is available . But then you have to search the topic you need help .

Any ideas???

Please ask your colleague to type enu at the end of the address line as displayed on the screen capture you attached (..../2016/enu). What is the RSA interface language set on thsi computer?

@Rafacascudo

What is your language version of RSA? Does http://help.autodesk.com/view/RSAPRO/2016/ENU work for you?

What are they default internet browsers on the computers Help doesn't work?

Is it the same when you set a different one as the default in the system?

Has any internet browser update been installed recently? If yes, will you able to uninstall it and see if this helps?

Hi Rafael, Hi Henkac,

We are trying to investigate why the RSA help doesn't work for you.

We tested the Brazilian version of RSA 2016 and the help is working properly for us in all browsers.

We would like to find out where the problem is and your help is appreciated.

It may be a problem with the local region settings and redirection of the link, but we would like to verify it first.

Could you let us know what is happening exactly when you try to launch the help button from the Preferences dialog? Do you receive the Preferences topic in the browser?

If not, could you try to click the link below and let us know what you get in your browser and which browser you use?

http://www.autodesk.com/rsapro-help-2016-enu?contextId=HIDD_PREFERENCES

Thank you so much for your help.

I hope we will be able to resolve this issue soon.

Please use the following link and the Search tab if you need any assistance in the meantime:

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Hi Ilona ,

Clicking the help button on the "preferences " window does not work like in all other dialog windows

watch here http://screencast.com/t/3WbAuyC03te

the link you sent leads to the correct " preferences " help page . No problems

Hi Rafael,

Thanks for testing it, this is much appreciated.

It’s weird because it should work in all RSA dialogs in the same way.

Could you try to click the help button from the Beam dialog (Geometry>Beams)?

Please let us know if this works for you and if yes what you get in your browser?

About the link, it seems that it is not the problem with redirection if you are able to get a proper topic in the browser after clicking it.

Thanks,

Ilona Michalska

I followed a "trick"  suggested by Artur and it worked.

With IE 11 installed ,I turned it into default browser and Robot help start functioning . Then I made firefox again as default browser and ... Robot help is still working!!! ???

Anyway , thanks!!!!

Thanks for letting us know.

It is great to hear that upgrading to Internet Explorer 11 solves this problem.

It is interesting why this change has an impact to the other browsers like Firefox.

In the past we didn't hear about the problem with Internet Explorer 10, so thanks for raising this issue.

Thank you so much for your cooperation.

Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Best regards,

Hi,

I had the same issue and that trick worked perrfectlty!

The issue happened after I installed a fresh copy of windows 10, which come with the new EDGE browser as default instead of IE.

As suggested I made IE the default browser, opened once the help (worked), then I set back Chrome as default browser and now the Help opens fine in chrome.

I hope this info could be helpful
