Hi. I have a structure with foundations buried at 1.2m below and Ground floor height of 3.5m. The vertical structural elements are walls. I would like to use a slab on grade as a tie at ground level to reduce the effective height of the walls.
Is it correct to include the slab on grade as a rigid diaphragm in the model to simulate this tie (as modelling the Grade slab on elastic supports in the model where it is connected to other structural elements creates an execution problem)
