Hello,
I'm having difficulties meshing my 2D floor panels. Basically I'm only able to mesh some of the smaller panels, with the 2 main panels only meshed around the openings. I've tried to paly around with different meshing oprions as suggested from some of the posts found in Discussion Group but couldn't resolve the problem.
Also I'm not able to resolved the isolated nodes. When I used structural correction function, It seemed to mess up the two main panels (panel 31 & 32) or so it seem from screen.
I've created this model by splitting a larger floor plate from another ROBOT model.
I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 64-bit and ROBOT Structural Analysis Professional 2013 SP4 HF5.
Please advise. Thanks.
Shiau.
On v 2013 : correct geometry firts - overlapping panels
(screen shot from v2014)
then try to mesh :
- turn off kinematic links

- turn off regular mesh

Thank you Rafel.
I'm now able to mesh the panels. However I've discovered that there are tiny discrepancies between the node coordinates and the contour panel points, hence the overlapping panels and incoherent mesh on edges. Is there any quick way to reslove this or I need to redefine the contour for the main panels? Your Rounding Up Coordinates addin only works on 3D structure types. Thanks.

Change structure type onto Shell, run addin, change back to PLate
