Meshing an curved shape.

Hi, its been a while since Ive been here. The forum looks great compared to back in 2011. Ive recently started working on Robot again and I'm having trouble finding a way to shape my mesh to the shape of my model. I have attached a pic of the shape to give you a better understading of my troubles. Let me say that I drew this shape in Robot by setting up a grid, or several grids I should say, so each curve has three points. I went in trying to add more nodes to see if the mesh would perform better but unless I set up another grid I can't. So I was wondering what you all suggested. I went about by using polylines (arcs), and applying the panel tool as a .5" A36 Steel plate for each shape. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

I discretized it even more severely and it won't mesh today.  I opened the model you sent, deleted the mesh, tried to re-mesh -> meshing error

Thoughts on this?

I can't see any problem with meshing at all. Open 'my' file, delete mesh, try to run meshing again, save the file under a new name and post it on the forum.

Hi Ken,

after opening the model from Artur and before the operations shown in the video haven't you changed the calculation model of the panel?

Because the effects observed correspond to the panel calculation model without FE mesh. See the video available using this link:
