Member to have no axial load but will take horizontal forces (wind post)

Hi,

I am trying to use a wind post in my design so that it will not take axial load but will be able to transfer forces for a cladding panel.

The wind post is located at the mid point of an edge beam and I do not want it to provide a support to the beam at this location. The cladding is one way spanning in the horizontal direction and would span onto the wind post and put a point load the edge beam.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks

Richard
