Is there a way to offset a column from a slab?

Is there a way to offset the bottom of a column to the top of a shell slab? Please help!!

Yes, you can use the UX local or UZ global offset but out of the curiosity what is your aim in doing so?

I am trying to elongate several columns at once..The results are logical..is there another way to do it?
