Generation of of Calculation Model - workflow

Hi

I am just curios to what the best workflow is regarding the generation of the calculation model.

Let say I do a initial calculation where I generate the calculation model.

- Later, I add some elements such as beams and panels. Do I now need to generate the calculation model again?

- At a later point again I add some loads. Do I now need to generate the calculation model again?

I have read the following post: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Robot-Structural/Generation-of-Computation-Model/m-p/3362625/...

Regarding workflow;

Let say I am satisfied with the mesh I have currently obtained for my panel. Is it any way I can keep this mesh even if I run generation of calculation model (freeze command for instance)?

In advance, thanks.

Regards

Peder

If you add beams or elements you need to re-generate the model.

If you add loads you need to regenerate the model (unless they are node loads)

As for meshing, when you are happy with the mesh select all panels and make sure mesh is frozen.
