Friction Support Problem!

Hello!

I'm working with a model where I need to define non linear friction supports, like bearing rubber devices.

The problem is that it cannot reach convergence. I try in a simple example and it worked OK (support in node 3).

In the other case, the supports must be define in cylindrical coordinates, so the friction bearing are rotated to match the x axis with the origin. Could this be reason for calculation divergence?! Next picture show the refereed model.

In attachment you can find the model.

Thanks.

I do not think it is related to rotation of supports. IF you leave only one support with friction (even rotated) model converges.

Developers have to look at it. Thanks for reporting.
