When you run a footfall analysis, what is the increment number? What does it refer to? Basically, the footfall analysis runs PAINFULLY SLOW. Strange thing is, even if I choose to only excite ONE node, the increment number does not change. Limiting walking frequency, number footsteps etc does not change the increment.
I really need to speed up the analysis but am unsure how to proceed.

Hi,
UNfortunatelly user is not able to control number of steps \ increments in footfall analysis. It is done automatically by program.
Rafal, thanks. So what is your suggestion to avoid a 45 hour long analysis?
Rafal,
My model has a Hollowcore slab in it.
For my original footfall analysis run, I set the hollowcore to disregard stiffness in the transverse direction.
This run gave me 2117 iterations
Today, I turned off the disregard stiffness checkbox, and re-run the analysis. Now I only have 100 iterations, and the analysis only takes a couple of minutes. Can you please explain why there is such a large discrepancy in the calculation method.
Regards.
Tony,
