Elastic ground bar definition

Hi

Why is the unit of Kz set to kpa? Isn't it kpa/m

If I got a bearing capacity of 10ton/m2, how much will be Kz?

Force needed to move a unit length of a bar by the unit of displacement.

KZ is not the same as bearing capacity.

You can use the KZ calculator to estimate this value based on the properties of soil.

Hi

How can i model Tie beam on ground?

Should I use elastic ground bar or Bar with linear support?

Message 4 of 10

A linear support is not applicable for bars. You should use a bar on elastic ground instead.

Hi

how can I combine two continuous footing into one continuous footing if the spacing between them is very small or overlapped each other?

Could you make a sketch that illustrates this situation?

Hi

The attached file shows a sketch of a situation of combined continuous footing

I hope you can help solving

You may consider modeling them as a panel on elastic soil instead.

in which program did you calculate these nonlinear coefficients?
