Effects of Meshing

Hi,

I have a general question: if I start with a basic model (core walls, slab, columns, etc.) that are connected at corner nodes, go on to mesh it, then unmesh it, will it go back to original model or are there permanent changes that are made once meshed? One example is if a core walls starts off as a 4 sided panel, it seems to get progessively more split up in to more edge elements that seem to complicate things. I am however not sure if this is the cause.

I haven't found any guidance on this yet so just pointing me in the right direction would help.

Thanks,

Jeff

The meshing should not divide edges. Could you illustrate your concern on some sample model please?

I think I accidentally applied the correction tool at some point when I had already meshed my model which must have split up the members. I think that clear this up.

Thanks for for the quick reply though.

Regards,

Jeff
