Divide shell into equal parts

Hi!

I would like to know how i can divide a shell like the selected one 

into 3 equal part (for example, to delete the middle one and simulate a window). I tried to use the divide command in edit menu... but it doesn't work.

1. Define two lines at the levels of the intended opening's edges

2. Run local meshing of this panel (this freezes the generated mesh)

3. Delete the elements from the opening

or

1. Define the boundary of the opening (contour)

2. Mesh the panel
