distorted elements in 3D volumetric structure

Hello,

I can not get rid of the error " distorted element" in the 3D model that I I realize. no matter how  fine mesh I do ....

I'ts only one distorted element from 250000 finite elements 😞

Is there  a possibility to skip this error and get some results?

If not, how can I resolve the problem with distorted element(s) ?

Can I send you the model to be checked by a professional?

Please help me with this issue.

Thank you !

hint : check if you pannels are flat using this API : flatness

His problem can comes also from non planar faces? -> improvement for the API -> check if faces of a volume are planar?

Usually not related to non-planar faces.

Hello ,

The model can be found here : https://www.filemail.com/d/puqxouebqlyvnzt?

Please get rid of the distorted element :))))))))))

....and explain please how u did it  😄

Thanks a lot !

Approach 1:
- delete this element and ignore other meshing errors

Approach 2:

if I erase that finite element, when I run the calculations, even if Im freezing the mesh, it appears another distorted element and so on ....

and the second approach I cannot understand...

Use the other software for meshing and calculations of this model.

Rafal

 Thank you for the answer.

It is possible to export the meshed model from Autodesk Simulation Mechanics back in RSA in order to take into account of this and to continue to run the structure in RSA?

I am not sure you can export meshes in text format from it.

But theoretically it is possible by neu file.

Example : http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Robot-Structural-Analysis/SOLID-FEM-TEXT-FORMAT/m-p/3820276#M12076
