I have received an error message during the analysis which states Distorted Element and a number.
I have searched through the messageboards and found that I can locate the element and restructure the mesh. However The numbers which I am given by the warning message cannot be identified using the selection tool.
Thanks in advance
Jon
Can be.
You have to select Finite Element and type element number then press Tab or Enter to confirm
If not visible add its node to selection, if still not easy to find - turn on Display Attributes For Selected Only
I have managed to locate my distorted elements, however when I delete the mesh and and try changing it it does not get rid of the issue.
1. no kinamatic links
2. no regular mesh
3. correct shaft wall corners 1221to1224 and similar
....
I hope you know how claddings work. But to remind you : claddings transfer loads only to bars and panels edges
- you have some claddings transfering loads to columns only on one side of cladding, example: 1105 1106
- you have claddings NO transfering loads at all, example: 1093 1096
- you have some cladding transfering loads to slabs only, example : 1109 1110

Thank You Rafal you have certainly cleaned it up a lot, it now runs a lot quicker than it did before.
Just in response to the cladding issues you have raised:
I do not have any bars in the system, only panels, how do I make sure that each of the claddings is transferring the horizontal loads to the panels efficiently?
I do not have any bars in the system, only panels,
Really ?
Sorry I misinterpreted what you meant by 'Bars'.
So how do I make sure that the claddings are transferring the loads to the bars and panels correctly?
