different area values for model calculation and member verification

Hi,

Is there a way to perform stresses and displacements calculations with one value of the area, but for the member verification maintain the original area??

I have to perform stress and displacements considering only the 5% of the area for a certain section while for the bar verification I have tu use normal area.

Do you mean steel design?

1. Calculate a model with a section you want to use for static analysis

2. Create a steel design group with the bar list containing the bar you are checking and assign it the profile you want to use for ULS verification (Group 1)

3. Create a steel design group with the bar list containing the bar you are checking and assign it the profile you want to use for SLS verification (Group 2)

4. Run the code group design for ULS for the group 1

5.  Run the code group design for SLS for the group 2

Despite this way could be solve the problem. I think should be implemented somewhere a box where indicates the % of the section for the analysis and the design.

Do you mean similar option to the one available for RC sections?
