Create a section and use in the calculation model

Is it possible to import a section that I have created in the "section defenition" in to my model that I`ve already created in "shell design"? The section that I`ve created looks like in the picture below.

Hi,

 

Yes you can.

 

You have to save this section in a database (as shown in the picture below)

After you saved the section in the database, you can back in the geometry mode and open this section from the user database in the section definition panel.

Thanks. This worked out just fine, but two questions:

1. When saving to database, what are these dimensions suppose to mean?

2. When running the calculations I get the warning that Ay and Az are wrong. Why that, I thought that this was automatically calculated from the section file?

Turn calculations of them on additionally.

OK, I saw that in the help file, so this is just a way of giving the section a name and doesn`t affect the section properties anything?
