Change in slab thickness around building perimeter

Hi

I'm having some issues with the modelling a flat slab which steps in thickness around the perimeter of the building. I've simply modelled the panels at the same level at this point but will eventually offset the slabs so the top surfaces align and connect using rigid links.

The thing which is confusing at this point is that the deflections of the slabs (without offsets) do not match along the line of step in thickness. Are you able to suggest any reasons for this?

Thanks

In addition to my above post, it appears this issue only has problems with the long term concrete deflection calculations.

The cracked deflection calculated with the use of the equivalent stiffness method is based on scaling factor which is calculated separately for each panel.
