Base Plate Design in Robot Structural Analysis Professional

in the name of  GOD .

 

hello to all

 

I don't know how design Base Plate for steel columns in Robot Structural Analysis Professional ?

 

did you ever do it ?

Simply select your column and go to the connections design module and choose if it is pinned or fixed.

I've done as you said but instead of base plate, column to beam is designed.

 

Robot can never base plate design?

 

please help me more

If you want to create a column base connection you need to select the column and as well as the node where you defined a support as shown on the attached picture.

I did as you said and select column and node but the base plate connection is'n calculate for column.see attached image.Smiley Sad

I assume that actually you created the connection as  a stand alone one using the button from the right hand side vertical toolbar rather than imported it from a model. In such case use the indicated button to run verification for manually entered set of forces.

Try to follow the steps shown on the attached picture. Define a column (use any I section type), then add support. Select both the column and the node where you defined the support. Press the button indicated in blue.

Hi there,

i have a question regarding base plate design which forces does robot considers internal forces in the bar or the the constraint support reaction forces from the nodes ?

immediate reply would be much apprecieted.
